Our library was recently awarded two grants from Treasure Valley organizations!
-In November we received $2000 from SILO, Southwest Idaho Legacy Organization. “SILO began in 1976 when the Caldwell Memorial Hospital was sold to West Valley Hospital. Since that time, the organization has awarded over $1.1 million in grants to various local organizations.” Through this generous donation our library has been able to purchase new books, kid’s tablets, STEM activities, a security system, and bags to make take-home kits.
-In December we received $2000 from the Idaho Community Foundation. This foundation “connects Idahoans to a generous statewide network through the power of collective giving.” They have “strengthened nonprofits, schools, and communities in every Idaho county for more than 30 years.” We plan to purchase books in all genres, teen technology/games, and a laptop.
Other private donations have come from community individuals which are very much appreciated.
